Wild Empathy

A spirit witch has a strong connection to the natural world around them, and the spirits that inhabit it. They gain proficiency in the Nature skill. If they are already proficient in Nature, then they gain expertise instead. Additionally they learn to speak, read, and write Sylvan and have advantage on all Charisma checks besides Deception and Intimidation when dealing with beasts, fey, or nature spirits. Additionally, any spells or abilities a spirit witch uses that affects beasts can affect fey or nature spirits as well.  

Spirit Guardian

The primal energy flowing through a spirit witch's attracts powerful spirits of nature to them. A spirit witch is able to form a pact or contract with one to become their spirit guardian. The spirit witch can performs a 1 hour ritual to coalesce their spirit guardian into a physical form, choosing from any beast up to CR 1/2 or lower and size medium or smaller. The spirit guardian uses the chosen beast's stat block except for intelligence, which is raised to 10 if it is not higher already. The spirit guardian uses the spirit witch's proficiency bonus in place of its own. Its armor class equals 10 + dexterity + proficiency bonus. Additionally, the spirit guardian gains a bonus 1 hit dice for every 2 class levels and +1 to all stats (to a max of 20) for every 4 class levels the spirit witch has.   Your spirit guardian acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In Combat, it rolls its own Initiative and acts on its own turn. If the spirit guardian drops to 0 Hit Points, its corporeal body is destroyed, leaving behind no physical form, and is invisible except to the spirit witch they have a contract with. If its body is destroyed the spirit guardian immediately flies to you and takes refuge inside your body. It reappears when you complete the 1 hour ritual again.   While your familiar is within 1,000 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your spirit guardian's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any Special Senses that the familiar has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own Senses.   As an action, you can temporarily dismiss your spirit guardian's body. Its spirit form is incorporeal and merges with your body, where you can choose to share your senses with it or not. Alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.   You can perform the pact ritual again in order to change the form that it takes. The Spirit Guardian is separate from the Witch's Familiar.   At 6th level your Spirit Guardian's form can be any beast of CR 1/2 or lower of size Large or smaller and you can communicate telepathically with them and share their senses from up to 1 mile away.   At 10th level, your Spirit Guardian's form can be any beast of CR 1 or lower of size Large or smaller and you can communicate telepathically with them and share their senses from up to 10 miles away. At 18th level, your Spirit Guardian's form can be any beast of CR 2 or lower of size Large or smaller.  

Detect Spirits

At 6th level, a spirit witch learns Locate Animals or Plants. This does not count against their spells known. If they cast this spell to find fey or nature spirits then it doesn't consume a spell slot. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.  

Primal Familiar

At 6th level, the primal energy flowing through a spirit witch due to their link with the earth and nature fortifies their bond with their familiar. If their familiar is a fey you can use your telepathic link to it up to twice as far as you can with your Spirit Guardian. If it is a Celestial or Fiend, then your telepathic link with it is only improved to be half the distance of your Spirit Guardian.  

Spirit Form

Starting at 10th level, a spirit witch draws on their connection to all the nearby nature spirits, transforming into an elemental spirit of nature. As a bonus action, they can turn into an Air, Fire, Earth, or Water Elemental. They can stay in elemental form up to 1/4 your witch level hours. Once per short rest. While in your elemental form you ignore material components for spells unless they are costly (greater than 1 gp).  

Sprit Guide

At 10th level, a spirit witch is able to ask the fey and nature spirits about their surroundings. They learn Commune with Nature, this does not count against their spells known. A spirit witch is able to cast this spell without consuming a spell slot. Once you have used this class feature you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.  

One with Spirits

At 14th level the primal energies coursing through a spirit witch have transformed their body. Their creature type becomes fey, they gain darkvision 60 feet and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical sources if they do not have them already. The spirit witch is resistance to charms. If their familiar is a fey and within 30 feet of them then the spirit witch is immune to charm. The spirit witch ages at half the speed they normally would. Spirit Journey At 14th level a spirit witch can cast plane shift without the use of a material component, but the only planes they can choose are the Fey Wild and Elemental Planes. Once you've used this action, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest or expend a spell slot of 7th level or higher to use it again. If you use Spirit Journey to travel to a plane corresponding to your creature or elemental type (fey to Fey Wild or elemental to its appropriate plane), then you can use Spirit Journey again after a short rest.  

Shared Spellcasting

Starting at 18th level a spirit witch's bond with their spirit guardian reaches its zenith. While a spirit guardian is within 30 feet of its spirit witch it may cast up to 5th level spells using the the spirit witch's spell slots. Spells cast in this way are treated as though the spirit witch cast them, but the spirit guardian may maintain concentration instead of the spirit witch.
