Jang-mi Kang the Elder
Jang-mi the Elder is the "Malice" timeline counterpart of Jang-mi Kang the Younger.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Her liver and lungs are in a state of general disarray, and her HIV has advanced to the point of beginning to affect her immune system. Nevertheless, she benefits greatly from the regenerative properties of the Z-virus and has been described by non-infected doctors as "far healthier than she has any right to be."
Body Features
Typical form
In spite of having a middle-aged body, she can pass for someone in her 30s. It appears her addictions have not really aged her all that much.
She has developed vitiligo on some parts of her body, including the palms of her hands. It is not visible when wearing long sleeves and gloves, and since she was rather fair to begin with, it's not all that visible.
Unknown "essence" form
Jang-mi develops claws about a foot long from her fingers. Her skin also takes on a duller appearance, over time becoming gray. Most notably is the fact she becomes capable of leaping astounding distances, always seemingly to land safely. In this form, the leaping is her primary method of locomotion.
Facial Features
She has a splotch of vitiligo on her forehead, but is usually covered by her hair.
Identifying Characteristics
The easiest way to tell her apart from her counterpart is scent. The funk of marijuana has pervaded essentially all of her clothes, even the Project Lutose suit that she stole several months ago. The vitiligo can also be used for identification.

Personal history
Jang-mi the Elder's history is assumed to be very similar to that of her Main timeline counterpart's. Most of the divergence between the two likely occurred in the late 2020s of the Malice timeline, and because Jang-mi the Elder knows not to tell the past about the future, almost nothing is known about her history that doesn't overlap with the other Jang-mi's history.
Education
Jang-mi the Elder briefly went to community college sometime in the 2020s and holds an AA degree. She does not enjoy schoolwork at all and tends to blank during tests. Dyslexia doesn't exactly help matters.
Taboos
In her timeline, Jang-mi took a DNA test and discovered that she actually has a lot of Chinese blood, which is seemingly why she sometimes gets mistaken for Chinese even with the Asian-American community. She still considers herself ethnically Korean and has decided this is a historical footnote, but she has decided not to tell her younger counterpart or anybody else. It's her business, nobody else's.

Vices & Personality flaws
Perhaps surprisingly, Jang-mi the Elder is a stoner and relies on marijuana to sleep. She is also arguably a functional alcoholic. The combination of the two means that she is rarely "all there," but it is also rare that she becomes so intoxicated that she's unable to take care of herself. Still, her tolerance is high, so the amount she can put away would put inexperienced drinkers under the table or turn moderate drinkers like Saoirse "Zero" D'arcy into a stumbling mess.
