chronic hyperruemia

For information on hyperruemia overall, see hyperruemia.   Chronic hyperruemia is the long-term condition of hyperruemia. It has three distinct classifications.   Baseline chronic hyperruemia is when a zeitgabber's normal viral load is above 25,000 IU/mL but the zeitgabber does not have rumaleptic seizures at this baseline. These infected may still get rumaleptic seizures during a spike or if bitten. These people may be barred from using motor vehicles during the winter (where spikes are more common) but usually are allowed to drive if their spikes are rare.   Borderline chronic hyperruemia can lead to seizures at the baseline with a typical frequency of about once every two months. These people are barred from driving motor vehicles although in Licentia are allowed use electric bicycles. Someone with borderline CH who does not have a rumaleptic seizure for a full year is reclassified as having baseline CH.   A person with chronic hyperruemia that seizes at least twice in a 24 hour period on two separate occasions where neither occasion is tied to a bite is said to have hyperrumaleptic chronic hyperruemia and, if not responsive to medication, has a poor prognosis. Hyperrumaleptic chronic hyperruemia is often called hype-hype for short. Hype-Hype can manifest as weekly, daily, or even continuous seizures.
