Lorin
Lorin is the vast and rugged eastern continent, where ancient forests and rolling grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see. The people who call this land home are fiercely independent, united by their common enemy in the Fey Dominion and their shared history of oppression and displacement. Many of the contemporary nomadic tribes of the Eastern Diaspora were once part of kingdoms and cultures that existed before the Fey conquered their lands, and they came together to form a loose confederation to share resources and knowledge as they roamed the continent.
In addition to the nomadic tribes, Lorin is home to several sovereign domains, each with its own distinct culture and history. The Kingdom of Alos is a feudal society ruled by a hobgoblin monarchy, known for its powerful knights and skilled craftsmen, while the Tribes of Thalassia are a loose alliance of maritime peoples that ply the waters of the coast and engage in trade and piracy. The Republic of Althea is a democratic society that values knowledge and history, and is home to some of the greatest scholars and archivists in Leylos. Despite their differences, the subdomains of Lorin share a common sense of independence and resistance against the encroachment of the Fey Dominion.
Lorin can be broadly divided into three regions based on climate and geography. The western region is characterized by dense forests and rolling hills, the central region by sprawling plains and fertile farmland, and the eastern region by a harsh desert dotted with oasis towns. Each region's environment has shaped the cultures and lifestyles of the peoples who inhabit them. The nomadic tribes of the Eastern Diaspora rely on their mastery of the desert environment for survival, while the settled peoples of the west and central regions have developed a strong tradition of agriculture and trade. Despite the challenges and hardships they face, the people of Lorin continue to fight for their freedom and independence.
