Flamen Quirinalis

He's the priest dedicated to the cult of the founder god of Rome. Quirinus is, in fact, the name that Romulus took after his deification. This is also a lifetime appointment. The Flamen can marry, and his wife does not hold any particular religious position, even though she naturally benefits from great social prestige. The Flamen of Quirinus watches over the earth and over the relationship that ties the Roman people and the chthonic powers, namely the terrestrial and Underworld deities, visible and invisible. He oversees the ceremonies and festivals of which the purpose is propitiating the harvests and favoring fertility and wealth. Although this is not known to all, the Flamen of Quirinus is expert in everything that revolves around the protection from magic linked to the world of the dead (necromancy, curses, et cetera), and his activities are often aimed at protecting the Empire from attacks of this nature. The Flamen of Quirinus is therefore the protagonist of all festivals connected to the cult of the dead, and especially of the Quirinalia celebrations, which are specifically dedicated to the god.
