Nocturne Beer
One of the major producers of beer in Levis, the various types of Nocturne beer are well drunk through upper Levis and well into the inner reaches. Brambleberry is the largest buyers of the liquid outside of the Oceanus region, with the tastes more palitable to the gustatory systems of the creature-kin there.
Whisperlings are the ones leading the charge in the development of these liquids, with their base design being a mix of perrin (a fungus that works like yeast that grows on underwater reeds), seaweed and fish scales. The brew is processed with seawater, leading to a very umami tasting beer.
Another beer that has been experimented with is the Luxwood Dark Beer - also known as a Black Eel. Eels (a stout in the reader's vocabulary) tend towards using land based sugar sources, with the Luxwood Black Eel being Luuxwood, perrin, fresh water and (Chocolate substitute).
For those that like bite, Moss Clutch add a little zing to the brews they are applied to - once all the teeth are plucked from the leaves that are used.
Those of Oceanus have had trouble maintaining the heat and pressure needed to brew the beers of the region, with bursting of the gourds used to reflux the liqor, but the larger Nocturne have come to the rescue here, breeding gourds with a thicker wall lining that while never usuable for food, are perfect for both the beer brewing process, and deep sea apothecary.
