Bubble-talk

Long before the Empire became the Empire, before those of the ocean regions spoke to those on land, there was the talk of the seas. Most spoken between groups of Nightbloom, the language was formed by the way and weight of the bubbles exhaled out of the gills of the ocean dwelling members of the region.
This language works best with the nightbloom, whose muscles around the gills under their ribs form a complex weave of ligaments that allow for supreme control of their seawater intake. While in life this allow for diving and existing across multiple strata of sea level, for bubble-talk this would have allowed for more elaborate projections of their words compared to some of their more amphibious breatheren.
The language is a dead one now, the more elaborate sign languages and mild technomagic telepathy more useful to an empire with mixed species and land based neighbours. But nocturne historians remember, even if thd language is mostly dead.

Geographical Distribution

Records of Bubble-talk push the region as being that area closest to what would become Avani and up across the North-most section of the current empire. While the whats and how fors of this language have been lost, the modern records of the style of speak remark on the often breathless nature of long discussions.

Syntax

One notable feature of the language is the difference between nouns and verbs. Verbs are mostly clusters of smaller bubbles, while nouns - being more complex, are described as being large and laden with context.

Too bad, I would love to have seen a visual depiction of a conversation in that language :D

This is amazing and. Awesome idea for a language. I could also picture the writing form of this being the different sizes and clusters of bubbles and someone coming across it looking at And thinking that someone was just practicing their drawings and making circles. You look cool article.
