Eraldo Montepulciano was the captain of the Merlion's Favour, a Tiressean merchant ship bound for the new world. He is an experienced captain, and owned the ship until its destruction.
Whilst sailing towards Palath's Landing, the ship came under attack from pirates, and the party of heroes defended the ship, before helping maintain the vessel until it beached on the tropical coast and broke apart on the rocks there.
Now without a ship or a crew, he is heading south to Palath's Landing.
