The Letter of Secession

A simple written notice was the only courtesy given to Arya, The Hero King when Grast pulled his territories out of then-Fonzia to form the nation of Dubria, named for his wife.

Purpose

The letter of secession is generally considered to have been a knife in the back of Arya. While Grast has never spoken of it in such terms, the message was delivered by a courier, rather than a dedicated messenger, and the language is both curt and direct.

Arya,
Your war with Kraem and Moralus has been a waste of lives and money, thrown good after bad, and I will no longer be a part of it, or your nation. The lands I once administrated in your stead now answer only to me as their King, and will be known by the name of my wife. Be sure you don't make the mistake of addressing myself or my holdings in any other way when you recognize our independence. 
Don't be a fool, old friend. Give up this war with Kraem while you have the chance. If you choose to bloody your nose further, your people will suffer needlessly. More than they already have.
