Gaelach Lán- The Festival of New Dawn

On the night of the first new Moon several countries coordinate multiple simultaneous festivals all at the same time to bring in the New Year. A few of the Larger cities that have access to a Mage Academy actually make portals between them for people to use for a price. The portal can only be kept up for a few hours allowing people to party in different places before returning home. Most Commoners stop their usual work to help participate in prepping for the Festival. While most worked on preparing the meals or hunting for meat others work on building a performance stage along with other attractions.


Standard Lanterns are replaced for the night with ones that use Moonstones for light with red screens to allow humans see in the dark while keeping thing well lit enough that Dark vision wouldn't activate. Which is used to its fullest effect by playing games such as hide and seek, blindsight ( dodgeball with a ball that flickers with light and illuminates anyone hit) , miss her or your sister ( Person must determine by touch alone whether the person that they are touching is their significant other or one of their relatives) , along with many other games. This also allows people to try food they've never had before due to the poor lighting making people's chances of grabbing familiar foods more difficult. Most booths are allowed to have an extra lantern or two to show what kind of wears they sell. The most expensive items ( swords, jewelry, armor, magic items) are sold during the day and put away at night due to how easy it would be to steal them in the darkness.
When the moon would finally reach its zenith the local clerics would lead a prayer to all the Twilight gods involved from Bathory of Brimir, Izanami from the Suganese, The menagerien god Jaguar in the night, and the dwarven goddess of Twilight Nott. At the end of the prayer the moon will slowly reveal itself shining solely on the pre-built stage where the deities will appear on every festival stage across the world at the same time dressed and ready to perform a live concert lasting until dawn the next morning. They will not interact with the audience in any way and anyone trying to get on to the stage is instantly put to sleep till the next morning.

DM note: while the other gods won't admit it lady bathory of premier is more than happy to explain that the festival was originally invented just to have a place for the gods to do a live concert they had to become bored with celebrating the new Moon by themselves.
