Pixie
Pixies, also known as the flower children, forest dwellers and other fanciful names, are a race of tiny sentient humanoids who tend to live in remote wild locations of the world alongside their cousins the Dryads.
They are known for being boisterous, care-free, energetic and mischievous, often playing pranks or harassing those who enter their forest homes.
Pixies on good relations with neighboring towns or nations will often intermingle with them, some pixies growing curious and even leaving their homes in order to live among these larger races. Because of this many towns and cities near forested areas tend to have at least a minor pixie population.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Pixies appear to be humans standing only six to nine inches tall and have a tendency for brightly colored hair and eyes, including shades of blue, green and pink along with more "natural" colors. In addition to this pixies universally have a pair of wings that sprout from their shoulder blades. The majority of these wings come across as diaphanous wings or butterfly wings. A less common variety feature birds wings.
Genetics and Reproduction
Pixie reproduction isn't heavily studied but it is believed that pixies do not typically reproduce in the traditional mammalian way (although they physically can). It is believed that a forest that is old enough will naturally start to produce pixies as if they were simply another stage of the forests lifespan. Pixie "eggs" are small pods which are occasionally found near flowering trees and in the underbrush. When found they can be nurtured and eventually will hatch into a young pixie by the hatching parent(s).
Growth Rate & Stages
Pixies age at a rate similar to humans from the time they hatch or a born. They take about 50% longer to fully mature however not reaching full adulthood until around 30 years old. Most pixies will perish around 400 years old, and rarely make it past 450 years.
Ecology and Habitats
Pixies typically exist within forests although rarer varieties are known to appear in fields or mountainous regions as well. Regardless there needs to be a certain amount of vegetative life in order for pixies to truly thrive in any environment.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Pixies are omnivorous. For the most part they enjoy fruits, nuts and other simple small foods but they are known to hunt insects for sustenance as well.
Pixies living among other species will eat meat and other foods as well.

- Fae Magic. You learn the Minor Illusion Cantrip
- Fae Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
- Nimble Escape. You can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns.
