Aura Therapy
Aura therapy is an experimental technique that employs Power of Aura in order to ease the mental or physical suffering of the subject. Considered to be more of an art than a science to those studying the process, it is as mysterious as auras alone to non-visaurants.
One of the fundamental principles of Aura is that an aura is the energy manifestation of a body's physical reactions. What happens in the body manifests in the aura. The general practice of aura manipulation reverses that relationship--manipulating the aura results in a physical change in the body. This unnatural practice generally results in a violent, involuntary reaction from the subject, but if done properly, it's theorized that a transaurant could use this technique to foster healing for both physical and mental well-being in a subject. While this has been theorized and attempted with inconclusive results for centuries, the first legitimate research into this technique was funded by Society of Unseen Living Energy in 1132.
The technique has seen some advancement in the years since the first study, especially in the realm of mental health, but it is still not remotely close to becoming a legally approved treatment. Superstitions surrounding Aura have limited the pool of subjects, as has the necessity of the studies taking place at the Aura Enclave in far northern Irocra. The number of transaurants who are proficient enough in aura manipulation to be able to is also limited, further hindering the number of studies that can be performed.
