Eldjians

The population of Eldjfall is very mismatched as it originated firstly from Gaisgaich, and lately from Drekaland. Not nearly as mixed as Blâmes, the amount of diversity found in the people calling themeselves Eldjians is still pretty impressive in comparison to Gaisgain and Naharates.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Most of the populations uses Vrain as their common language, but since the Bright Dragon population have addapted an anciant language to their day to day lives, the future may hold a new language composed of both Vrain and what could be called a Draconic language for lack of a better word yet.

Most cultural influences are derived from Gaisgaich's own popular culture, as in the culture of the people.

Art & Architecture

Derived mostly from Gaisgain temples and military forts, the buildings have been adapted by the first residents in order to utilise the local ressources at best, and to face the harsher weather patterns. THe main structure of most buildings comport, from ground level and up:

A stone base layer, also found in Gaisgain architecture that offers a strong wall and supports the roof very well. In Eldjian architecture, this base layer will most likely serve as walls for the ground level floor., making the hourses more resistant to winds and limiting the usage of wood.

A second story will usually be build with a coarse log structure and a clay wall. The clay is mixed with staw, lime and sand to create cob, a resistant material that will help insulate the house and offers a touch of color the Gaisgain houses often lack.

A roof supported by a thin carpetery is thatched. They are made in bell shape for two reasons: a stone lining of the roof lets the people collect the rain water, and snow does not stick to it, it accumulates in the lining and when it melts, it can be collected.

Most of the architecture of important buildings is taking inspirations from Gaisgain temples, but also Naharates buildings who are very decorated and colorfull. The arts, while still not as present as they could become, are important to the Eldjians as they permit a popular expression of the moment and intellectual mouvements that led them to create their own land. The arts that are most favored for now are of course living arts, such as music, songs and poetry, dance, theatre, acting and what was percieved as "circacian" in Gaisgaich. Circus arts and disciplinaries are very popular as it mixes most of what was listed before. It can be used, just like theatre, as catharsis or as public amusement. Nevertheless, it is one of the most popular and most commonly practiced because of it's diversity and inclusion abilities.
