The centerpeice-to-be of this world, Eldjfall is a young country, build by the hands of determined people. Men and Women lie equal in the face of death and love and life in the "Free Land" as it is nicknamed by it's people.
The country is very small, centered around it's capital, Eldjföll, and radiating outwards into the land. It's a big home for determined and motivated misfits, made by them, for them, the Eldians.
The average poulation age lies between 20-31 years old, so it is very young compared to other countries. Giving that the contry is still new and the demographic is very young, the birth rate is aproximatively 32% superior to the death rate. Meaning that for each 100 death, 132 births occure. This population is thriving for now on, and we usually count arout two to three children per housing in the capital, and four to five children per housing in the villages. The population concentrates for now around the cost, near the capital but small spots of population are starting to show on the maps, growing more towards the inside of the continent or spreading across the cost towards the North.
The territory was not reclimed by anyone when Edward and his followers arrived at first, stepping in a forest unruled. Months away from Gaisgich, no signs of earlier civilazation was found at arrival. Maybe someday it'll be discovered, if there is any?
The occupied territory covers for now a surface of 2586 km2 and only wished for extention.
The Military is divided in "three" forces:
The Blue Guard: Day to day soldiers, affected to the guard of Eldjföll. They are called the Blue Guars because they wear a half-cap to the colors of the country, mostly cobalt blue.
The Grey Guard: Day to say soldiers of the country, they defend their respective villages and arrest outlaws. They are called the Grey Guard because they wear no ornaments: only their chainmail and weapons.
The Sailors: Pretty self-explanatory; they are the soldiers and sailors who operate the Drekki, the war ship of Eldjfall.
Most people suspect Edward of being a mage, and those who aren't the Sailors of the Drekki invented a saying about it: It floats above water like a dragon flies is the sky. Using magic!
Still none of this has been proven to be true.
There is no official religion in Eldjfall, but most people woship dragons as elders, even is no one ever saw one. Except Edward.
Due to the heated separation between Edward and Witty Andes, The tentions between the two countries are quite heavy, and Eldjfall is in need of allies and defences, in case any diplomatic incident where to occure.
Thanks to a mysterious diplomat from Nahamira, the relations are very good from oversea, let's hope it stays this way for now.
Recently, soldiers made contact with inhabitants of mountain tribes, but without glorious succes.
Nobody on this damned country wants to try their shot at negociating witch Blâme. And they are right.
The agriculture is developping fast due to the increasing number of the population. It is only familly farms and small structures, but in number. The main agricultural production is of course honey and horse breeding. Those are the leading production of the country.
The industry is mainly based on handicraftsman, from the blacksmith to the lumberjack, all is done by them, but it mostly is mining and extraction of building materials, and their transformation that is the most effective in theses times.
It hasent happend yet, but Eldjfall is considering selling their horses to Nahamira in an economic contract.
Eldjfall is a place where education is offered to all childrens who wishes so, and can take many forms: Calculus as much as farming are taught. The community of the villages and even of Eldjföll are very close and the neighbours take good care of each other, either to help build the house or to help raise the childrens. Most of education takes places in the libraries , where well-taught people reunites to teach children about grammar and such. Any type of physical education, however can happend as an apprentice. When the child reaches fourteen, they can ask any handicraftsman or farmer to take them as their apprentice, and to teach them their job. This gives the possibility for children to pick something esle than what their parents are doing, and to diversify their knowledge of the world around them.
Most roads and sewers systems are still in construction outside of Eldjföll. The city itself is centered around a town place where the market and the fountain is located, and inserted around the city wall, is the caste. A small, modest caste made of plain stone and dark wood stands tall, but not too much. It contains a huge kitchen, grand dining hall, the conference room, rooms for invites, two libraries, the school of the city, the Blue Guard's quarters and armory, the city breeding barn and Edward's chambers. The market continues inside of the castle's courtyard, making it part of the day to day life of the inhabitants.
