There was a tunnel connecting the outside from the Junkyard, that the body snatchers most likely used for sneaking in and out of Torch. There was also most likely undead creatures buried in the soil, but they are inaccessible without burrowing type abilities, but luckily they seem to be dormant during the daylight hours.

So the group set up overwatch at the entrance outside of Torch.

The session ends with you encountering a group of unknowns on the hill side of the Black hills.
