Untouched Magic

As I study the arcane magic which surrounds me, I cannot help but wonder, what of magic that isn't on Eternity? I turn my gaze to the moon and wonder what magic it may hold. As hard as I try, I cannot tap into its secrets. Its silvery blue glow reminds me of theorium, which I use now to focus many of my spells. If the moon has similar properties, one can only imagine the power they can pull from it. That alone intimidates me. If others with, more selfish, or even angered intentions were to harness the moon's potential arcane power, it could be disastrous. I must keep this theory secret. It is the only way to possibly avoid such events. Alas, if I don't follow up on this thought, I will never learn the nature of what magic may lie within the moon. The feeling that comes with not learning anything is unnatural, and wrong. This is made worse by the fact that I am choosing not to learn. Then again, this is literally much larger than me. I must think of what could happen if I do act on my desire to learn about the moon's secrets, and if my discoveries were to fall into less than good hands. As I've established, it would cause problems that I would have caused, and would be unable to solve. Knowledge is a double edged sword. No matter what you find, or how much it helps people, someone will find a way to cause suffering with it. This is my final entry on the matter, and never again will I turn my gaze to the moon with the desire to reveal its secrets.   Sojern Orias, 325 P.A. 15th of Anorin

I honestly hadn't thought of it that way. That's actually a really good way of looking at it.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John, 3:16
