Selas Netumbe

Former head council member to Doh'garus, now rots in a Doh'garus prison. He was a member of the Children of the Eternals cult, and one of the most powerful beings to walk Eternity. Like many who bare the Netumbe name, his rivalry was to the Akkamara council members. Little did he know, sending others to harm someone close to those councilmembers would be his downfall.

A slimmer form than most draconin men, though he is no less strong. Green scales protecting his body, with his front scales being closer to a beige. Only is his recent battle against Sprizen Akkamara, did he call on enough of the Eternals' power to become ascendant. He only ever took to the skies once, and will never take to the skies again.

Facial Features

His stern features, and broad horns reflect a deep, yet reserved anger. His yellow, draconic eyes seem to trap any in a well of dread.

Special abilities

He wields the power of the Eternals, and was one of the most powerful beings in all of Eternity.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

He was born into wealth, as the son of the head councilman of Doh'garus. He was taught everything about his people, and his nation. Like his father, he sought to rule with a tight grip. In his teenage years, he had heard tale of a cult that stalks the streets of Doh'garus. Out of morbid curiosity, he pursued such tales. He found this cult. Rather than killing him on the spot, they thought to use his status as a weapon. Young Selas became a member of this cult. He was granted their power, and slowly climbed their ranks. Once he reached adulthood, he used his dark magic to kill his father. The dark magic made the crime look like the Children of the Eternals attacked.   He seized his fathers position. From that spot, he allowed the Children of the Eternals to infiltrate Doh'garus' government. His influence allowed a lighter grip on all cult activity. This would cause individual heroes such as Skolas "Firebrand" Zareth to rise. He was unable to outlaw these heroes without creating suspicions regarding his own affiliations, not that they didn't already exist. Eventually, he heard from the Eternals themselves. They told him that the young draconin boy, Sprizen Akkamara, son of a fellow council member, was a threat to the Eternals' greater goal. When the young Sprizen Akkamara had accidentally killed his own father with previously hidden sorcery, his first inclination was to kill the boy, and remove the Akkamara threat entirely. Sadly, the boy was a sorcerer, and many considered him a potential asset to Doh'garus. As such, he instead banished the boy. The influence of other council members forced him to allow the boy to return, should the boy restore his name.   Soon thereafter, the boy returned, and was more powerful than even a direct disciple of the Eternals. This would cause problems. He'd have to weaponize every short coming of the boy while he was on the council. He'd get his chance soon. When the boy returned from a diplomatic mission to Midor, he knew his opportunity was neigh. He knew the dwarven king was corrupted by the Eternals' dark magic, and he knew the king would send an army to Doh'garus. He'd rand the event as Sprizen having singlehandedly started a war. When Sprizen promised to undo what was done, Selas was once again forced to allow the boy's attempt based on the demands of fellow council members. Once again, the young sorcerer returned victorious, and once again, he was unable to remove the Akkamara threat. Soon thereafter, the resources he required, and his external success with other cult matters earned him the rank of cult leader within the Doh'garus sect of the cult.   After years of watching his greatest threat prosper, he finally had an idea. If he could destroy the boy mentally, then maybe he could strike more effectively. He hired the Eclipse Mercenary Company to strike at Sprizen's family. To kill the man's son. He refused to pay them, and threatened to unleash the vengeful magic of the Eternals if they did not comply. Only a fortnight later, the same sorcerer, the same boy swung his doors open, screaming how his secret was out, how he would not leave this room alive. He called upon the Eternals, and they made him the most powerful being in all of Eternity. They made him ascendant, and the two took their battle to the skies.   Their fight was long, and destructive, having leveled his house. Through sheer arcane rage, Sprizen was victorious. For some reason, the boy did not kill Selas as was expected. Instead, the sorcerer threw Selas into a Doh'garus prison. He now sits in the same prison, his power taken, his wings withered, and his sanity slipping.

Gender Identity

He is prideful of the form he was made in, and refuses to change it.

Education

Being the son of the head of the Doh'garus council, he was given the highest of education.

Employment

For all his adult life, the people saw him as their leader. When he wasn't in the public eye, he became one of the Eternals' greatest disciples.

Failures & Embarrassments

Throughout his rule, he could not rid himself of the Akkamara threat. Each attempt to do so only backfired. What was supposed to be his greatest attempt, was instead his greatest failure. When he sent the mercenaries to strike at Sprizen, the boy came for him.

Mental Trauma

"If I fail, the Eternals will not fulfill their goal, then I will have Deos to answer to. His wrath is likely much worse than that of the Eternals. The suffering will not end."

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

He wasn't always this way. He was once a promising young man, devoted to his people. Now, in desperation, his goals are only to avoid the wrath of the Eternals, and Deos.

Virtues & Personality perks

He is a patient man, even more so than many brimbarians. He will always think through every detail of every plan.

Vices & Personality flaws

His selfish desperation drove him to commit unthinkable acts in his adult life.

Social

Speech

His speech is slow, proper, and methodical. Confidence, and ego hang on to every word. Very rarely will he say exactly what he is trying to convey. He much prefers to use metaphors to test the intellect of those he speaks to.

Wealth & Financial state

He, (like all Doh'garus council members) had direct access to all of Doh'garus' wealth. However, he was only to use it for reasons that would benefit Doh'garus as a whole.

This guy sucks. Everybody on his side who knew what he was doing sucks. Even didn’t pay the Guys he sent to their deaths to kill a child. If only he had not run into that cult, what would he be like. I hope he would have been better

He would have been better. Like I had said, before then, he was devoted to his people, and nation. After he found the cult, he became desperate for survival. This desperation drove him to commit unthinkable acts.
