Riftside Affairs Division

The Federacy Riftside Affairs Division is a cross-department division that monitors the impact of maintaining Federacy habitations and relations on the spinward side of the Rift. For example, most of the Riftside worlds are colonies: what does this mean in terms of the Federacy's largely Post Scarcity Economy? Military deployments? Etc...
But one of its most important functions is the monitoring of Precursor Artifacts. As more sites and worlds are being found with Precursor devices, many of them presumed Latent (no obvious properties, but potentially active), the careful study and deployment of these devices has been a virtual hotbed of debate as both Federacy and Houses see their possession as a means of great potential that could shift power balances.
