Scenario 1.2 - "What on Beautiful is Going On Here?"
I Got a Golden Ticket
Characters are outfitted and receive training and techniques which they are about to test before the Team heads off for Quikut. Taylor has to prove that she knows her way around a Cyberdeck and so they're given a mission: to retrieve a document from Axxess, a testing construct for cyber runs.
Axxess Granted
Entering the Cyber Realm, Taylor crafts a facsimile of… Legoland? They survive the journey and locate the area where the documented is located. Dr. Jones is at his paranoid best… and worst; the Team is ambushed by laser sharks. Dr. Jones goes down (just as much due to the gnawing he was getting and Wyatt had to leave), and then they slowly use their abilities to pummel the sharks into submission. They then gain access to the document successfully, completing their mission.
Meanwhile, in Quikut
After taking a day to get set up, JR and Tatum load up and head for Quikut. They set up in a house at near the edge of town and begin to get themselves set up. JR's disguise is a student, Tatum is an itinerant preacher.
Tatum locates a young lady of his faith who has witnessed strange things in town and she doesn't think things are adding up; something about what's been happening is really making her bitter. Meanwhile JR is starting to believe that Things are Never as They Seem, Spiritually. and realizes that spiritual forces are at work here.
JR and Tatum come up with a name, Kriptikus Moriarticus who is the son of some Major House leader. Apparently he has a great deal of interest in this whole "trip to the Fringes." Information is going to be needed; they need to liberate a HoloArchive.
Meta Note
We allowed an in play situation where the characters could receive condensed training and/or extra gear. They have an opportunity to change one aspect (not the High or Flaw) and also get three Minor Milestone actions which would allow for some really focused tweaking.
