LoE 1.2.1: My Baby Takes the Morning Tram

Scenario 1.2 - "What on Beautiful is Going On Here?"

Briefings...

JR (Jonathan Roberts), head of Team Security is asked if they should pull the plug on this thing, and if not, what's it going to take to keep them safe. The Team is informed that they are on high security status (may carry non-lethal weapons) and stay close to their rooms; when out have travel in pairs plus use a security escort.

Prep Time

They begin to prep in different ways. JR starts digging into his information, exhausting himself but coming up with the fact that there's a Mole in the Mission Crew, meanwhile, Taylor comes up with an Multi Spectrum Electronics Jammer and teaches Nora a little about Crafting. Taters stays VERY prayerful.

On the Tram

They board a tram to their next meeting and note that there are 5 people on board. Dr. Jones starts spazzing out, thinking that the Innocent Young Girl is watching them. Long story, short: she is. Taylor attempts to make sure she's calmed down after watching Dr. Jone's episode, and she start using a rare Psi Op technique that has Taylor spilling her guts. JR notices and invites Tatum over to talk to the girl. Eventually they get her to loosen up, especially after the other 4 passengers decide it's time to go. The Team collectively works her over, Nora even gives her some Truthonium 238 and she shares all, but then starts convulsing, dying. She's kept from dying, but she's got a two day gap in her recent memories, and beyond those memories are a deep set of programmed memories. Still, her capture is useful.

Findings

The team confirms all that they have suspected, about them being the target of someone trying to start the mission, they trigger a Major Investigation - subtly, because they confirm that there is one or more mole. They thwart an attack on the Mission Steward and find some seriously actionable intel, enough to launch a counteroffensive of their own.
