Session 6: A Step Forwards

General Summary

Previous Report : Session 5: A Family Divided

• After the Yabott improvement drive nears completion, the UH look to make a move towards conquering the evil forces at work in Legalaia.
• The UH want to take out Breena first, as she is currently the easiest to reach, poses a threat, and can be a valuable asset moving forwards if they can turn her.
• Fletch warns the party about the sizable force which remains garrisoned at the fortress, and notes that they'd need to find a way inside without being detected, or luring Breena out by herself.
• Fletch notes that the library he previously mentioned, may have critical information such as blueprints and schematics of the fortress in which Breena resides. This library may also have key translation text which could help to uncover more information about their enemy, The Dread King.

• The party set off towards the Abbey of the Quil on an arduous journey spanning several days.
• The party reach the side of The Verdelen River and Jacq'ee Lumber crafted two wooden boats for the party to cross with.
• Ashe Cinders begins to test her wild shape abilities much to the delight of Machali.
• The UH row across the river, having no trouble at all accept for a brief view of a ginormous magical creature.
• They hide the boats and continue towards the Abbey.

• The abbey comes into view a little before nighttime, and not wanting to make a move at this time, Ashe Cinders wild shapes into an owl and takes a quick pass by to see if she can see anything dangerous.
• The next morning, Jacq'ee Lumber approaches the abbey and after being held up by the Loyalist knights guarding the front entrance, she is mysteriously allowed inside as if she was expected.
• Inside she meets Edmun Chalker the High Prophet of the Quiller Monks.
• He remains honest and mysterious, revealing that he has seen Jacq'ee Lumber's sister recently, who was certain the king was the rightful heir.
• Edmun Chalker revealed that although they believe the king to be the rightful heir in their minds, the historic writings in the books and scrolls they protect, revealed to them this can not be the case. As such they are in a state of awareness, and realise their minds have been altered and no longer represent the true reality.
• The rest of the UH get restless and decide to attack the Loyalist Knights outside, without so much as a conversation with them.
