27 - 28 Mirtul, The Year of The Scarlet Witch (1491 DR)
Sumber Hills, Dessarin Valley
The following day, everyone was surprised to see heavy snow covering the ground outside the cabin.
Daryl and Ori both agreed that this much snow late in spring was unheard of in the valley. Erun and Peridot, who had grown up in Red Larch had never seen snow around this time of the year. In fact, snow was rare in the Dessarin Valley. Darath, who was not from the continent of Faerûn, had never seen snow at all.
Ori said she had heard from the Emerald Enclave that the elemental forces in the Dessarin Valley were in chaos. What was causing strange events like snow in late spring, no one knew. Ori said she would have to leave and meet up with another agent of the enclave she heard may be staying in Bargewrith Inn to discuss the strange occurrence and to seek advice on what do next. Before leaving, she offered to rejoin the group in a tenday or less.
Meanwhile, the others decided to make their way to Rivergard Keep after hearing from Daryl that it may be where local bandits who have been attacking travelers in the valley may be hiding out.
