Tower Guard

The Tower Guard consists of approximately thirty professional soldiers, plus up to a hundred reserve militia who commit to serving for a certain number of days per year in partial remission of their taxes, and who can be called upon in times of crisis.
Structure
The Tower Guard stands apart from the structure of the nine Grand Regiments of the Aldenri military, and is never deployed away from Gildenschloss, where it plays a general role of keeping the peace and ensuring the security of the town and the Crown Offices that are based there.
Ultimate authority over the Tower Guard is held by its Knight-Captain, Lord-Scion Arnaud Riddacci, who has held the position since 1336 AK. Beneath the Knight-Captain are several Serjeants, experienced soldiers who usually have a decade or more of experience within the Tower Guard.
A typical patrol consists of three guards, though may increase to up to six in times of unrest. At any one time, there are usually twelve to fifteen guards on duty.
