Sophon Vatallio-Erastes

Human, born 1291 AK into a mercantile family in Schwannenholt; his family were granted a patent of nobility as House Vatallio-Erastes for their role in the Battle of the Swan's Road  of 1302AK. Studied at Kalamak 1309 to 1313AK (Adept thesis: “Telesmic Symmetries and Correlates of the Eight Glyphs of Power”), before taking a commission in the First Cohort Arcane. Fought in the Kjelslund campaign of 1314 to 1326AK, then returned to Kalamak where he lectured on Abjuration until 1336AK. Invited to take up the post of Vice-Scholarch of Abjuration at Gildenschloss 1336AK; he and his husband Gheylen (now chief physician of the Hospital of Ekirena) have resided in the town ever since. Research interests include telesmantic ward theory and contingent ward-glyphs.
