S02E01 Something Wicked Report

General Summary

After giving up on the cultist interrogation, the party let the pathetic loser go, trying to track him instead by Hunter's Mark. The fool left Neverwinter and headed East, taking his time, along the river toward the Wood. Eventually they gave up tracking him as well.
Heading out of town later around Noon, they tracked south for 15 miles or so and made camp for the night. Luckily, no wandering monsters were encountered, and they pressed on again in the morning, reaching the Wayside Inn after dark. They spoke with Martisha, Teega, Cooragh, and Backes. One GP got them food, drink and bed for the night. While they ate, they listen to the bard, Tarbin Tul, and talked with Teega who approached Leana with an offer to trade in her mithril chain for some plate armor decorated with 3 bolts of lightning like her bracers. 
Conversation followed about how she had taken to adding decorations to her work, and crafting jewelry, inspired by a blue tiefling that passed through a few days earlier. The group concluded that it was likely Nix that had been there on her way south.
The party continued on again after another night's rest, detouring slightly to spy on the Tower of Storms to be sure there were no shenanigans going on there. It seemed still vacant, so on they went further to Leilon where they could see a storm building nearby, or on top of, the town.
As they approached they found 50 or so townsfolk gathered between the road and the woods, in something of a panic. The evacuation of the town had been called, and among the confusion and hysteria, two children went missing.
The heroes, of course, volunteered to go find them, and at the same time get to the bottom of whatever is going on in town.
As they moved wsith haste toward the town they saw some out of it a wagon, drawn by a horse that appeared to be made of water, with 3 archers in it. The wagon was escorted by 3 knights on the backs of 3 horses, also made of water.
A battle ensued as Amarille sprang forward to engage, Todac let loose arrows, Heleana brought down mighty blessings and the enchanted blade that it Talon. Fflewddur also started buffing his allies while trying to deflect incoming arrows, and Eethyl, Sila, and Gwaur started running around and doing their thing as well. Sila managed to finally hit a target and drop him with a poisoned arrow. Yay!
