Cerdic
Fils de Vortigern et Rowena
King Cerdic of Wessex is an accomplished warrior-king from Saxony, but with a special ancestry: he is the son of the former High King Vortigern and heir to the tribe of the Gewessi. He can also draw his lineage to Hengest, one of the Saxon kings invited by Vortigern, through his mother Rowena, Hengest's daughter.

Appearance
Cerdic is a big man, his size and strength clear signs of his Saxon heritage. Likewise his long blonde hair comes from his mother, but his face bears a striking resemblance to his father, the evil king Vortigern.
Personality
Cerdic is noted for his ambition and his desire to recover his father’s land; he will do almost anything to get it. He reportedly treats his subjects, whether Saxon or Briton, fairly and equally, as he seeks to create a unified kingdom under his rule.
