General Summary
Vortigern claims the Parisi civitas when their king dies without heir. Southeastern nobles conspire with Vortigern’s adult sons, Vortimer and Katigern, to overthrow Vortigern and Hengest. In Italy, jealous rivals murder Count Aetius and Emperor Valentinian III, plunging the Empire into anarchy.
