Noble

A noble is a member of one of the Empire's Noble Houses. This grants rights and responsibilities that differ according to local law, tradition, and the Imperial Reforms of Magnus the Pious. All nobles in the Empire ultimately derive their right to claim to be noble from a single source: Sigmar, the first emperor and patron god of the Empire.

There are many ranks of nobility in the Empire, each of which have different titles and entitlement. The provinces sometimes order the ranks differently, and some also include unique ranks, some of which are not fully recognised throughout the Empire.

Proof of nobility is provided by a Patent of Nobility, which is issued by the head of the Noble House in questions.
