Uncass, Atithe (Uhn-kis)

Uncass is a medium sized city of Atithe known for being the industrial city that provides most of the tools for Atithe. Built in a perfect grid for ease of transportation, the whole city is basically one big forge. The smell of smoke, burning and melting metal, and sewage almost taints your lungs with its grime. Most of the housing is built directly on top of shops where blacksmiths, tool makers, armor makers, and other skilled laborers work in their shops. For apprentices and other supporting workers, there are a few apartment buildings to allow for additional housing. Beneath the city runs a maze of drainage pipes, sewage lines, and other odd tunnels that are lined with sludge but make for a perfect hiding spot.The city is known to be the most dangerous of all cities in Atithe despite the exhausting attempts to reverse the matter. Small criminals form together to create nuisance gangs of thieves, scam artists, and drug dealers. Murders happen more frequently here than anywhere else due to deals gone bad or debtors unable to pay up to their loan sharks. The City Guard and Security Forces work together to try to keep it at bay and have mostly successfully driven the criminal element underground. However, due to the high concentration of labor in Uncass for one type of trade, shop owners are constantly falling victim to these criminals to try to make ends meet.
BRIEF HISTORY
Mainly built to support the development of Citadelis, the Capital of Atithe, the city of Uncass was built to be industrial from the start and has been unable to deviate from its upbringing. Originally just a few blocks of forges with a City Hall, the city slowly developed into a perfect grid. Its geographical location made for easy transportation of tools and materials out of the city and across the river to Citadelis. The workers felt satisfied for many years, agreeing with the dream of building the utopia that Citadelis was to be. It wasn't until after the completion of the Capital did the workers become unhappy. When the final brick was laid, 20 years after the start of construction, the workers felt like they were immediately cast aside and seen as expended tools for the now wealthy to get what they want. It only took a few years of dissatisfaction for some workers and citizens of Uncass to turn to crime.The crime started out innocent enough- petty theft, some low level scam artists, and some vandals at most. But when the mayor at that time didn't immediately take a harsh stand the criminal landscape rapidly grew. For many years, mayors refused to let the outside world know of what was happening on the streets and underneath them. Crimes became more violent and honest workers started to be extorted leading to the growth of crime bosses and families. Finally, after a serial killer rampaged through the city and the mayor was blackmailed so horribly he lost his position, the current mayor decided to take a firmer stand. Once Fotrael Ironpike was elected, she immediately reached out to the military forces of Milompand and established an outpost for them to help prune back the branches of organized crime. It has been slow work, but fortunately her efforts have not been in vain. Slowly but surely the crime has slightly reduced to more tolerable levels. The criminal network is still around and still active, but have mostly been forced into the bowels of the city.
IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS
- Mayor Fotrael Ironpike : A fiery-redheaded female Dwarf with a personality to match, her main goal for Uncass was to try to fight back against the criminals that had started to completely take over the city. She has worked hard the past few years to successfully complete her mission and so far has been fruitful in her efforts.

Uncass is a medium sized city located directly across the river from Citadelis. It is a perfect square, laid out in a perfect grid. This industrial city is dirty, grimy, and reeks of burning metal and smoke. The city was developed for the sole purpose of providing tools and materials to Citadelis in its development and remains the home of many forges, metalsmiths, and other metal workers. Additionally, there is a growing criminal element rising up in the streets of Uncass.
