Rolling For Your Stats

HOW DO I ROLL MY STATS?

Outlined in this article is two ways for you to determine your starting Attribute stats like Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. I highly encourage the "Roll and Drop" method because it typically produces more 'heroic' characters and allow for some randomness in the stats. However, feel free to use Standard Array if it makes you more comfortable.

ROLL AND DROP METHOD

1. Take out a sheet of paper and in a list format, write the numbers 1-7. Gather four d6 dice.

2. Starting at the first number and working your way down, roll the four d6 and record the rolls. Once you have done so, cross out the lowest number and tally the remaining number for a total sum of all of the rolls. Work your way down, repeating the process until you have done it seven times. If you roll an extremely low combination that equals under 8, you may reroll for free.

3. Once you have rolled all of the stats, determine the lowest number out of all of your total rolls.

4. These are now your Attribute stats. Based on the suggestions for your class (or the best combination to describe your character) assign the Attributes to each of the rolls.

Congratulations! You have now rolled your stats. That is all there is to it.

STANDARD ARRAY METHOD

1. The Standard Array Method is much easier, but has a more moderate end result that is not random. In the Standard Array Method, you start off with these numbers to assign to your attribute stats. Simply assign them to the Attribute you find best for your character.
