Billberry in Launtrel | World Anvil

Billberry

Native only to Atithe and Rylos, these small berries can be found in deep underbrush for those with a careful eye. Growing only in a maximum bundle of three berries per bush, finding them is a rare occurrence. They are small, round, and hard black berries. They must be mixed with pure alcohol and left to stand for fifteen days. When this process is complete, they must be drunk. A successful application of this method will give the creature that consumes it Darkvision for 1d20 days. However, a failed application may lead to the death of the consumer as if they had drunk a deadly poison.

In order to use the herb, the person creating the potion must make an Intelligence check of 16, but the character themselves will not know if the brew was completed safely or not. If it was not successful, and a creature consumes it, they will go into Death Saving Throws after 1d4 minutes. They must be cured in 1d20 minutes or they will die.

Rarity: Rare
Worth: 500 G per 3 berries || 1 berry per potion, 500 G per potion
