Blaisziss

Sorcery is a way of life for the blaisziss. They dream and breath spells that, from time to time, they “remember” from a time of forgotten mists. Their serpentine lower bodies with small, fine prismatic scales, are natural mana conductors, making the sorcerous talent of this all female race unparalleled. Or so it's explained in the Sorceresses’s Spiral Tower Academy. Their hair and eyes are as colorful and bright as their scales, sometimes being of just one color, like blue, green, red, lilac or yellow. Whatever the color, it is very lively. Their upper bodies are very similar to those of human females, though relatively sleeker. Almost everything about the blaisziss, their creator goddess and treacherous god and the consequent social traditions therefrom is heavily based and shaped by sorcery as a way of life.

Although their populations are quite widespread over the continents, they seldom are found in groups (even small ones, like the covens they sometimes form, just) outside of arcane oriented cities of the Eastern New Draconic Empire (as blaisziss historians sometimes refer to Iossivisz Gix’fiyrix confederation).

This mystical people is one of the most renowned there is, specially considering that their fame was acquire worldwide in a few centuries after their arrival on th Second Era of the Third Eon. They often occupy important roles next to Queens and Kings, archmages and even bizarre alien entities! The more prominent achievement of the blaisziss resides on the success of the Spiral Tower Academy, whose might and strategic importance for the Eastern New Draconic Empire is paramount.

Although it's little known, some blaisziss that are experient enough, innately attain a control of their bodies to a point where they unlock the capacity shapechange into a male form. Ironically, doing magic is impossible in this form, which is a source of great discomfort for most of them. Even speaking about it brings some sort of shame and is considered a taboo between them. Therefore, assuming this form for anything other than reproductive purposes is frowned upon or punished in some minor way. Coursing them to be locked in this form is a rare and antiquated form of punishment, sometimes being regarded as worse than death and being able to lead a blaisziss to madness. Feeling disconnect to magic is in itself a living nightmare in their culture.
