Undercity King Nico Shade (a.k.a. The Shade of Elra)
Nico is the smooth talking and ambitious leader of the Undercity Servicemen, the first major crime ring in Gandora. A man with a penchant for alcohol, fire, and wealth, he is driven by a deep rooted desire to carve his name in history one way... or another.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Nico's frame is fairly light and thin, almost unhealthily so. Though he lacks muscle, his small and nimble body allows him to slip and dodge out of most scraps, and he can take a decent amount of abuse in the mean time.
Body Features
Situated at many key points along his body, such as his wrists, ankles, lower back, chest, and the nape of his neck are transparent symbols in the shape of a flame. These symbols function almost like windows into their own worlds, beneath which a small fire burns. It is from these marks that Nico can produce his own fire.
Facial Features
Nico's face, like the rest of his body, is rather thin and gaunt. His cheeks are slightly sunken due to some unhealthy habits, such as his constant drinking, lack of restful sleep, and overall stress. His nose is small and pointed, though it shows signs of having been broken and mended before. His chin is also a bit angular, giving him an almost elven appearance at times.
Identifying Characteristics
Nico stands out quite considerably without proper disguise. As a Fire Ukatae, he has inherited several physical features marking him as such. His hair, though largely black in color, is highlighted with dark to bright red streaks that tend to lighten up the longer the hair. His eyes are a warm orange color and glow faintly in the dark, as does his skin. As mentioned above, he also has several symbols across his body, though these are typically hidden beneath his clothing.
Special abilities
Nico is able to summon fire from one of the many symbols that dot his body, using this as a weapon or for more mundane tasks like lighting a campfire or cigarette. Due to his constant raised body heat, Nico is often able to remain comfortable in moderately cold conditions, though he is not immune from the cold entirely. Nico also boasts a resistance to heat and small flames, and is largely immune to his own fire, but he isn't completely fireproof either.
In addition, Nico is well practiced in moving silently and scaling walls and other barriers, as well as dodging blows in a fight.
Apparel & Accessories
Nico typically tends to dress more formally than his line of work would imply. Often Nico dons a full suit, comprising of a collared dress shirt and matching black jacket and pants. However, Nico has several outfits at the ready for various needs and events, such as posing as a beggar, working at sea, or performing guild related work hands on.
Relationships
History
The two siblings rarely interact, as Nico feels mostly ambivalent towards Ash. While Ash's feelings towards Nico are complex, her main goal has been to keep him alive so she can find a way to build a relationship with him.
Nico is the charismatic and often drunk leader of the @[The Undercity Servicemen](organization:1cccb21d-c15b-490a-9529-5142cf712856). He is chaotic and prone to jumping the gun with many of his schemes, only saved by his quick wits and dumb luck.
