Soldos System

Landspace

The Soldos System is the gravitationally bound system of the star Soldos and the objects that orbit it. It formed 4.4 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud. The vast majority (99.86%) of the system's mass is its star, with most of the remaining mass contained in the planet Duodos. The four inner system planets—Mobidos, Aedos, Erdos and Ardos—are terrestrial planets, being composed primarily of rock and metal. The three giant planets of the outer system are substantially larger and more massive than the terrestrials. The two largest, Duodos and Urdos, are gas giants; while Kordos is an ice giant. All seven planets have nearly circular orbits that lie near the plane of Erdos’ orbit, called the ecliptic.   The entire system is within a massive, dispersed, magis nebula, making it a Wildspace system. However the nebula is absent in the region around Erdos’ orbit, and most of the orbits of Aedos and Ardos. This means that Erdos exists in normal space. This is due to Erdos being a magicant world, and thus it absorbs all magis in its orbit, preventing wildspace from manifesting.   Wildspace extends further than Soldos’ heliopause, at which point the gravitational and electromagnetic influence of the heliosphere stops grounding objects to the material plane and matter slips into the astral plane without dimensional anchoring.   Within the wildspace region of the system, space fauna is varied and populous, though the planets themselves cannot sustain life. On the normal space region that Erdos’ orbit follows, there are no space-based lifeforms as normal space is inimical to ordinary lifeforms. However, Erdos itself sustains life and is is the only planet in the system that harbors sentient lifeforms.   The Spelljammer designation of the Soldos Wildspace System is Landspace.
