Romolo the Drake Defier Character in Land of the Ancients | World Anvil

Romolo the Drake Defier

Lord Romolo Regardi

Defying a drake is easy, walking away after it is not.

Lord Romolo got his title when a green drake showed up on his land, being a nuisance by stealing sheep and pigs every week.

After some deliberation it was decided that it would be best to start with an attempt at diplomacy. A couple of volunteers were sent to where the drake was. They were asked to simply inquire if the drake would be willing to negotiate them leaving.

They did both return, a bit shaken, but otherwise at good health, they informed Romolo that the drake was indeed willing to open talks, but only if they receive all the gold lord Romolo possessed.

Lord Romolo exclaimed that that would not stand, and that he would personally defy such a ludicrous demand. He packed up and went to the dragons place of rest.

A few hours later people saw the drake fly cirles above the town before flying away. When Romolo returned he exclaimed that the drake would not return for the forceable future.

The people were thorrowly impressed and titeled Romolo as the Drake Defier in thanks.
