A cooperation between various small companies, the Vulcan Alliance is well known for its production of various forms of armours, ranging from armoured trucks to barricades. Its members range from blacksmiths and armourers to mechanics and engineers. Each member company has its own primary focus, but they frequently cooperate on research and larger projects.
The Vulcan Alliance receives frequent grants from both the
Science Department and the military, to research new technologies. Part of this involves experiments with natural materials, which they purchase from
Homesteaders. To support this research, not only do they receive aid from scientists, but they also are entitled to 0.2%
AI Runtime.
Products
The primary focus of the Vulcan Alliance as a whole, is armour. They produce armoured trucks and trains for use outside the
First City, as well as body armour and power armours for Defenders and Homesteaders. Furthermore, they produce barricades and help fortify buildings. Many a Homesteader has traded hunted animals for a fortified addition to their home, as well as some extra hunting gear.
To help promote their products, the Alliance participates in the Formula A championships, a series of obstacle course races between armoured trucks. They work closely with the participating Defenders that wield weapons during these races, helping them stabilize their vehicles. While not as specialised as some competitors, the versality of the Vulcan Trucks has won them 4 out of 7 championships as of date.
In recent years the Vulcan Alliance have been researching ways to apply natural camouflage, similar to what the
Battle Spears employ in their
uniform. Their aim is to make fortifications look more natural to
Ursa Majors.
