The Hunters of Thrall's Nest

Structure

There doesn't seem to be a set leader for these hunters, and they're not organized enough to be counted as an organization or guild. It's more of a rag-tag team of blood-thirsty, glory-driven people who want to sate their bloodlust in a "productive" and socially acceptable way. The veterain hunters have the most sway, however.

Culture

They worship Felth at a surface level, more for fun than any reverence for the goddess, and they don't care much for religion outside of her. Felth seems indifferent to the ritualistic battle but is inwardly pleased by the display. It took work to capture them alive; let the hunters have their little game.

They hold competitions at the temple/arena in her name as trials for new hunters or for entertainment. The fighter chosen for the battle is usually a new recruit. It's a rite of passage, a way to prove their worth to their fellow hunters and to Felth. The fight isn't too difficult; they don't want to lose a chance to increase their numbers, but it is hard enough to weed out the incompetent. The "monster" is one that is usually already badly injured and won't be too difficult to fight. They were likely hurt on their way there from the Carrowine Forest.

Public Agenda

They're monster hunters that travel the continent to rid the world of horrifying creatures that pose a threat to the civilized races.

History

Once a literal nest of vampires, Thrall's Nest is now a claimed base for monster hunters. Despite the change in "ownership," the name stuck. A few people will tell you it was a way to brag that they possessed the city now, that the vampires lost. They were led by retired soldiers.
