Thrall's Nest

  • It's a game to the hunters. The creature is usually already injured from its capture and is an easy kill.
  • Felth seems indifferent to the ritualistic battle but is inwardly pleased by the display. It took work to capture them alive; let the hunters have their little game.
  • There doesn't seem to be a set leader for these hunters, and they're not organized enough to be counted as an organization or guild. It's more of a rag-tag team of blood-thirsty, glory-driven people who want to sate their bloodlust in a "productive" and socially acceptable way.
  • They're tollerated by the rest of Garthspire because they're useful, however, the common folk are terrified of them and bend over backward to accomodate them. The hunters do get a power trip from it and sometimes abuse this advantage. The law tends to look the other way when they're in town, also afraid of pissing them off.
  • Their antics are not tolerated in Luhren or Noctre, however. Because of this, most of the hunters stick to just hunting in Garthspire.

History

Once a literal nest of vampires, it is now a claimed base for monster hunters. Despite the change in "ownership," the name stuck. A few people will tell you it was a way to brag that they possessed the city now, that the vampires lost.

The Teapot Wars started here between pirate factions.

Architecture

In the center is a temple that was once used for ritual sacrifice to Sahdlor, the vampires' favored god. It is now used to worship Felth and the hunt for more "foul" creatures. Blood sacrifice is still part of it, and the occasional monster is forced to fight a monster hunter to the death.
