Elf and J'barri first contact

Expedition

The first contact between the elves and J'barri.

After the establishment of Nim, a troop of soldiers became seafarers and traveled North. They met the "Catfolk" of legend. Cautious expeditions meant traveling the coast for some time before landing, meaning the elves saw the volcano of Renad-Pai before contact.   Elf records state that the J'barri already knew about the volcano and were willing to help the Elves with metallurgy. J'barri records state that the elves were the first to mention precious metals, and staked their claim on the island since the J'barri had never been there. This created tension. All that is certain is that after the initial talks, it became a race between the peoples.
