Eisol's Wrath Strikes the Backhand, Mot D'nir

Disaster / Destruction

707

The striking of a great tidal wave, later named "Eisol's Wrath," on the Backhand and Mot D'nir, which greatly changed the geography of both regions.

While the elves were hard at work building a support system for their society, their morale took a heavy blow when a great title wave, recorded to be anywhere from 75-150 miles across struck the land. It stood above the clouds and reached the mountain peaks, washing away forts, villages, and roads. Roughly 150 square miles of Eastern Elvish coastal territory was lost underwater, where it remains to this day. At the time, the elves were growing dozens of species of cane crops in the lost territory, bringing much of their financial gains with Kalan trade to a halt.   Mot D'nir suffered a worse fate. Krakan Bower, the nearest surviving city, saw their walls washed away and several Kaban slaves killed. The Naga Tel took refuge in the realm of the Quai, which was serviceable until they returned to a civilization submerged in water. To the West, the region where the marsh met the beaches fell below the waves entirely.
