Peatwood Alleges Kalan Attack on Territory

The alleged attack on Peatwood by Kalan forces, which was swiftly disregarded by the Augury.

While the Augury was a politically stable organization by all accounts, they had suffered years of embarrassing failures, such as The Griarstalk  . This would fall under the umbrella of failures for this time period, as Peatwood sought assistance in the face of J'barri attacks on their land. The Augury refused to assist, claiming that events such as this were the reason the Eldurgrund military ban had been lifted a decade prior. Regardless of who was to blame, Peatwood fared poorly in combat, but would not be eviscerated.   While foul rumors around Peatwood did not help their plea for assistance, the claims being made were no better. J'barri shipps supposedly "docked on the far coasts, razing our marshes with flame as their lion gods dictated demands from the clouds above." Certainly, no such intervention had been seen from gods in over a thousand years, and no illusionists were competent enough to create such a visage. To make matters worse, the warriors had all "collapsed to ash" when they entered the marsh's waters, leaving behind no trace but docked ships of human origin.
