The death of Emperor Elias Rembrandt II due to stomach rot.
Emperor Rembrandt II served a short but effective term. In fact, 10 years was the shortest term an emperor had served at the time, and is still notable between the Eldurgrund Empire, Saltkrigere Empire, and the Augury. She died due to consistent consumption of blight-infected wine, which was not understood until an investigation the following day. The autopsy was pivotal in uncovering what had gone wrong, as two members of her court had perished with similar symptoms. the wine was recalled and Emperor Johanna IV forced Caripreet to pay reparations for the tragedy.
