Formation of the Saltkrigere Paladins

Founding

The formation of an elite force of paladins (entirely independent of the Eldur Knights) by Shellbay in order to defend from the rising Snowhammer threat.

Some years after the Eldur Knights had formed, Shellbay came to a similar conclusion to Eldurgrund regarding warfare against the Warlords. To fend off these threats, particularly the rising Snowhammer/ Milin Orphi worshipping threats, the Saltkrigere Paladins were formed. Sometimes called Paladins of Bailum or Shellbay Paladins, they would fight for a righteous and holy cause, spreading the word of their god along with the warfare, setting them distinctly apart from the Eldur Knights. While the knights simply wished to defend their capital, the paladins wished to bring justice and judgement while also guiding the hopeless back to the light.   This drive to save the lost worked in their favor, as Shellbay was the only group capable of establishing territory outside their walls that could defend against the large raider groups, while also sending guard-escorted missionaries and establishing churches and shrines throughout Northeastern Trinen.
