The gradual isolation of Caripreet from the rest of Trinen via military control.

With Caripreet's betrayal of the other forces of Trinen, Eldurgrund saw itself as the rightful punisher of the crime. At the same time, they still refused to put their own people in danger, regardless of their firemagic capabilities. Instead, they would have Jerborg get involved, since they were the nearest territory under Eldurgrund's control.   Jerborg had a small militia but nothing that could be considered an army. Their one benefit was their caverns beneath the mountains, which allowed them to march any troops they had all the way to Caripreet undetected.   In this time, Jerborg would be attacked by Broodmother Vetheres and her forces. Without soldiers, the small city was quickly taken, leaving the soldiers with no home to return to. Their only option was to control the roads around Caripreet, functioning as little more than organized thieves while they awaited for Eldurgrund to answer their cries for help.   Caripreet was easy enough to control since many of their soldiers had gone abroad to set up small colonies on Silse, preparing for an invasion of Ghei Wyl. It wasn't until the Jerborg forces refused to continue their escapades against Caripreet that Eldurgrund heard their pleas. A massive force was sent to Jerborg, where the city was all but burned to the ground.   Jerborg was then relieved of their duties, and Eldurgrund finally took up the mantle of cornering Caripreet.
