The formation of the elite organization of knights by the government of Eldurgrund, which still exists today (in an honorary capacity).
With years of death from disease and famine, the large cities across the world were falling to their population collapses. Eldurgrund was one of the more resilient cities during the time, residing in their mountains but abandoning much of their nearby territory, and leaving Jerborg to fend for itself. The Cult of Verivem booming and controlling most of the territory north of Eldurgrund, the citizens began to fear a successful assault (they had been resilient until now). With most of their inhabitants being individuals forsaken by the Eldurgrund and Fjordstrond governments, it was clear the the Cult would refuse to stop until the city fell. A few attempts at coaxing the Snowhammers into engaging battle with the cult had failed, leaving few options. In Ettermiddag, most governments were learning that soldiers would have to be of quality rather than quantity, which birthed the idea of Eldur Knights in Eldurgrund. These individuals would be trained in a litany of weapons and in the art of fire magic/battle tactics. Given the threats on the horizon, the dangers of fire magic were largely ignored, leading to incredible displays of glory for those that engaged in the high risk magics and marking the Eldur Knights as the most fearsome force in Trinen.
