The first meeting between the humans and the snakefolk "Naga-Tel."

Once the Strand-Bloods had all of the necessary skills they needed, they began to travel the swamps with the Tara-Jhen. They learned all of the predatory territories to avoid and made their way across different dispatches from the main lizardfolk tribe they sought out. However, on their journey, the group came across a newly set up snakefolk shrine.   The Tara-Jhen recommended avoiding them, but the humans were curious. The natives had neglected to mention that the Naga-Tel were sentient before this occurrence. Wanting to stay and meet the Naga-Tel, their native guides said that they would not remain to see what would happen, describing their fear of the vicious serpents.   While the Tara did move on, the humans stayed and met with the Naga-Tel. While they were more defensive than their lizard counterparts on first meeting, the Strand-Bloods came bearing lackluster gifts they could muster. The Naga would bring the family to their broodmother. Meeting another group and learning another language was difficult, especially when being within the marshes the entire time, but the vernacular was similar to that of the Tara-Jhen.   The Strand-Bloods explained the cessation of their storms and their holy mission, which was met with hostility. However, the Strand-Bloods did find the connection between the serpents and Naga-Tel to be far-fetched compared to what other horrors may be in the marsh. Though the Naga-Tel required the humans to hold their own and provide for the group in order to maintain their lodging and welcome, the Strand-Bloods found them preferrable to the Tara-Jhen. This group appeared more transparent with conflict in the region, as well as accepting of Chal Churdour's existence.
