The first gift of lightning magic to select humans.

After a short flight of Vestergil to investigate events around Laminarum, he returned to the Isles bearing gifts of magic. While there had been a few attempted invasions by Shellbay, there seemed little reason at the time to bother with such powerful magic. At the time they mostly used it to collectively lessen the impacts of storms or currents to their benefit.   Those that were granted magic were not individuals of noble backgrounds, as Vestergil didn't want nobles to take advantage of the masses. Those that were granted the magic eventually plead their loyalty to the construct, as the abilities they were gifted became in high demand for control over natural events.
