Waning Keep
The Waning Keep, as envisioned by Levrin and Dour, would soon become a wonder of the world. It still stands today and has a magnificently unique design as is supported by the Waning Rock Magic. It stands on a piece of land that has been painstakingly separated from the mainland beneath. Large chains, each link the size of a small ship, were bolted between the mainland and the carved-off island. The Keep, supported by the power of the waning rocks, floats above the ground but is held to the mainland by 4 chains.
Extensive security houses watch over the linked portions of the chains to ensure the safety of everyone on the keep. It was designed like this for several reasons. Dour argued that the The Hurricane of Ilobel was brought on by divine influence and would return again. The elevated keep would prevent flooding and protect all in the royal family. Secondly, a show of wonder and power would be important after Levrin's frankly embarrassing career. Thirdly, it would be easier to protect the infrastructure than any individual Feneyl's life. it would be nearly impossible for assassins to reach the keep, and a full scale invasion would be required if anyone wanted a chance at harming the royal family.
