The Battle of Krakan Bower, poem (crack-un Bow-er)
"Far beneath the burrows
Of the deep-sea-dwells
Lays the beast of Krakan Bower
Carried on the backs of the Kaban shells
It paints the innocents with fire
It rose and raved with wings of dark and eyes of deep unknown,
And elder it was, from the crags of Bower
Its song turned your bones to stone
Yet with rock and metal, wood and water
It was fought by the Tara-Jhen
And in the end its song was sung
By the Tara-Jhen alone"
-The poem was made by Naga-Tel of the Kraken Mur. They conveniently leave out the involvement of Vestergil and the humans in their work.
The term "bones of stone" was often used of the Kaban by the Tara-Jhen, in reference to the slaves that carried their wares. Describing someone as having "bones of stone" denotes them as slaves, and the beast of Krakan Bower was chiefly known for its ability to enthrall the weak minded.
