Ulea Oasis
The Ulea Oasis is essentially the only large body of fresh water within the entire Kar' Karak Desert, no place provides as much life and energy to the barren desert than the Ulea Oasis isolated in the sea of sand. The water gives life to trees, grass, moss, fish, and animals. A lone hermit resides alone in a small house near the oasis, managing to survive off only what they find in the desert and helping any travelers. During the night a magical lamp created by the hermit illuminates the desert to guide any who are lost in the desert to safety, where the hermit has a map showing how to get back to Dar' Rak' Da.
Geography
The Ulea oasis is a small body of fresh water located within the depths of the Kar' Karak Desert. While most of the desert is completely inhabitable and completely lacks any water whatsoever, the oasis is the largest reservoir of water in the entire area. Although the oasis is still not huge, only being about the size of a large pond, though it is surprisingly deep. It gains its supply of water from an underwater reservoir feeding into it.
Fauna & Flora
The oasis is the only location in the entire Kar' Karak Desert which contains extensive amounts of life. Unlike in the rest of the desert trees grow there, grass and flowers sprout from the ground, and small fish live in an isolated ecosystem within the water. Insects buzz around, as well as colorful and rare birds, many of the creatures of the desert seek refuge within the safety and fresh supply of water provided by the oasis.
Natural Resources
The Ulea oasis contains possibly the most important and useful natural resource which can be found in the Kar' Karak Desert, fresh water. A lucky traveler who happens across the desert will be blessed with a supply of water which they have probably not encountered for days, as well as small berries and fresh fish to eat. While the hermit guides travelers to the oasis with their lamp, it is rare that they may be lucky enough to survive long enough to stumble upon the desert paradise.
